Accounting Manager Job Description Our client, a well known sales and distribution firm in downtown Toronto, is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their growing team. This individual will serve as the right hand to the Director and will be responsible for all senior level finance strategy. In this ever-growing, stable organization there will be ample opportunity for career growth and development. Managing 2 staff, this individual will b responsible for hiring, mentoring and improving junior accounting processes while also being hands-on with all senior accounting responsibilities; closings, analysis, schedules, financial statement prp, ERP process improvement, budgeting and audit prep. As the most senior person dedicated to finance, you will be responsible for reporting to the European parent and presenting financial results. This role requires both hands-on tactical accounting skills and the ability to think strategy for the country. As such, the individual should have experience working for a mid-size Canadian operation reporting to a European parent – ideally with multiple business units or brands. Canadian GAAP and IFRS experience are required. SAP is an absolute must. Active enrolment in later stages of a Canadian designation is required. Bilingual French would be a huge asset.
