Financial Analyst
Job Description

With over 100 years experience as a leader in their industry, our client offers an exceptional career opportunity for a Financial Analyst. The Financial Analyst is a challenging role that is structured to ensure the incumbent will excel within the role and within the organization.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Financial Analyst will perform complex financial reporting and analysis to assist the organizations financial short- and long-term planning and specifically to support the Executive Team decision-making.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This role is a high-visibility position that will liaise with Senior Executives and Management level professionals in various business units (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Manufacturing, Distribution, etc.) to coordinating, organizing and completing strategic financial/ business projects. The Financial Analyst will extract, evaluate, interpret and analyze data to produce monthly forecast reports, quarterly and annual budgets, SKU tracking reports, Point of Sale (POS) data, profitability reports, sales forecasts reports, cost of refurbishing analysis, customer profitability analysis, price mix analysis, cost to serve or contribution margin analysis.
Candidates who have the following technical skills will be given preference. You must have advanced level computer skills with expertise with JD Edwards, Cognos, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Visual Basic. A proven and strong aptitude to extract complex financial data from a myriad of resources from JDE and download the data to Excel using pivot tables and macro’s.
To be considered for this opportunity you must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a business related discipline (preference to those who have a Master’s degree and/or working toward an accounting designation). Given the complexity and sophistication of our client’s business, you must have demonstrated financial modeling, problem solving and quantitative skills. These competencies are essential to the success of this role. You will act as a consultant to various non-finance Executives. Your ability to customize financial reports to meet the needs of each Executive is critical to the success of this role.
Salary: 60,000 to $70,000
