Senior Accountant Job Description Our client, a large healthcare provider in Markham, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. Working at the head office to this multi-site organization you will have the opportunity to learn the business by interacting with all locations. This role is very diverse in its job duties and will give a rising star plenty of room for growth. In this every changing role, you will be responsible for all month and quarter end preparation including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis and liaising with corporate departments (AP, AR and payroll). You will be front line accounting support to the sites and handle all financial inquiries. Applicants must have at least 5+ years of experience in a senior accounting role. Later stages enrollment in a Canadian Accounting designation is required (CGA, CMA or CA). Experience working in healthcare would be a strong asset; however any background supporting multiple sites or properties would be suitable.
