Accounts Payable Specialist Job Description Our client, a rapidly growing mid-size investment firm, is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team for a 1 year contract. This organization treats contractors like part of the family by including them in all inter-company activities including kick-offs, celebrations and team building events. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with dynamic, tight-knit team that truly works together to maximize results. In this role, you will be responsible for all AP processing including cheque runs, verification of coding and researching corporate policies. Other duties include processing journal entries to AP sub ledger in Oracle, bank reconciliations, cash management, basic expense analysis and period end duties. Applicants for this role must have a minimum of 7+ years of full cycle accounts payable experience in a big company with strict deadlines and strong internal controls and policies. Applicants should have a post secondary education in accounting. Intermediate MS Excel is required. Oracle (AP module) experience would be a strong asset.
