Collections Representative Job Description Our client, an innovator with digital technology, is looking for a Collections Representative to join their Mississauga team. This role is starting as a 3 month contract and will move to a permanent role for the right candidate. Reporting to the National Credit Manager, you have the opportunity to be mentored by the best and work with a team that is experiencing record-setting results. This organization is extremely fast paced and offers an opportunity to take on new tasks and project regularly to add to your skill set. This role is a key member of the collections team and is responsible for handling 60 accounts, including some of the company’s largest clients. The portfolio also includes all Quebec clients. The major function of the role is detail account reconciliations including research, locating back up documentation, assessing shipping charges, rebate charge backs, etc. The role also involves collections, customer service calls, submitting invoices and statements, recommending basic credit changes and other ad hoc duties. You will be working with external customers to resolve credit issues, but also will be working with the sales team and other internal customers as well. Candidates must have at least 5+ years of business-to-business collections experience. Strong MS Excel and system skills are required. Experience with Oracle would be an asset. Applicants must have recent experience doing complex account reconciliations and strong research and problem solving skills. English communication skills must be stellar. French would be an asset.
