Business Analyst

Job Description
Our client is looking for a Business Analyst for a 1 year contract. They are a global leader in the Consumer Packaged Goods Industry. Their premium brands are recognized throughout the globe. Their experience spans over 150 years and their products have given them the reputation and legacy for quality, prestige and creativity.

The Business Analyst will contribute to the success of the organization by supporting the decision making process for the Brand Managers and Regional Directors for Canada. The Business Analyst will review, analyze, and investigate financial information for the Senior Management team.

Key Responsibilities of the role are as follows:

You will prepare accurate and timely financial reports for assigned Brand Mangers and Regional Directors to support company reporting cycles. You will support the forecasting and budget development processes and consolidate, reconcile, validate and obtain clarification of financial information from multiple sources to assist in developing forecasts and budgets on a monthly basis.
Given the dynamic nature of their industry, you will assist in various special projects. You will support ad-hoc analysis requests and special project work as required. You will work with Brand Managers, Area Brand Managers, and Regional Directors to analyze financial results to develop reports and presentations including: Business Reviews, Brand Updates, Executive Presentations, and Special Projects. You will act as a consultant working with the Brand Managers for forecasting P&Ls for new product development.

Minimum Requirements for this role are:
• Later stages of completing an recognized Accounting designation (CMA, CGA< CA). A preference will be given to those who have completed their designation.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a financial forecasting/ budget variance analysis role within consumer packaged goods or related industry.
• Computer proficiency with particular emphasis on exposure to Business Intelligence Software (i.e. OFA, OSA), Access, Excel & PowerPoint
• Demonstrated – business and analytical acumen , facilitation/co-ordination skills, strong interpersonal skills, deadline driven
